
Tendu with Elevé
I give this to my pre-pointe and pointe 1 students to increase their stamina.
It also helps them keep the weight over the ball of the foot, and helps them focus on keeping the legs straight when closing into fifth!
From 5th;
Set 1:
1: tendu front, close
2: elevé and lower
3: tendu back, close
4: elevé and lower
5: tendu side, close front
6: elevé and lower
7: tendu side, close back
8: elevé and lower
(reverse)
Set 2:
1: tendu side, close 1st
2: elevé and lower
3: tendu side, close 1st
4: elevé and lower
5: tendu side, close 5th front
6: elevé and lower
7: tendu side, close 5th back
8: elevé and lower
1. tendu side, roll down to 2nd
2. elevé and lower
3: tendu, close 5th front
4: tendu side, close 5th back
5: tendu side, roll down to 2nd
6: elevé and lower
7: tendu side, close 5th back
8: tendu side, close 5th front
Set 3:
1-2: 2 tendu front
3: tendu front, roll down to 4th
4: tendu push the foot back up, close 5th.
5: tendu side, roll down
6: elevé and lower
7: tendu side, close front
8: tendu side, close back
1-8: reverse
Set 4:
soussus and balance in coups de pied, or repeat set 2.
Soutenue and repeat immediately.
