Pre-Pointe Exercise - Big Toe Isolation

It's hard to isolate just one toe at a time! And the big toe (or the Great toe) is essential in good strong pointework, since it has it's "own muscle." You can do this with or without a band, but be sure to use a lightweight band and not apply too much pressure to the foot. Younger students may need help (you can put your hands on their toes and help keep some still while they move others).
